Don't jump on something that needs work unless you're specifically looking for a project. Spend a bit more time looking for a clean one that you won't regret getting a few months from now, and in the meantime, save your money a bit longer and have a bit more to offer up front (you were the one talking about financing a portion of the car, right?). Things like tranny issues, non-functioning turbos, shoddy repainting, and mismatched paint (indicating a collision) are signs that you need to keep looking - unless you really want a project...
